An experiment that hopefully will turn into a regular podcast. Per and I are talking about what's going on at the umbraco hq right now and cover topics like CodeGarden, 3.0.5 and Courses in this ten minute podcast with phenomenal background music.

You need to have Flash and javascript enabled to use this video tutorial

As promised in the podcast, we also produced a five minute tour of v3.0.5 with Sir Per Ploug Hansen as your guide.

  2. Tim Geyssens Says:

v3.0.5 looks great! Nice job Guys.

I'll have to update my screencast, because I still needed to set the correct type for the usercontrol params. It's even easier now !!

  3. Ismail Mayat Says:

Nice. One thing though does 3.0.5 lose the mysql support? Might be worth mentioning if it does for people on 3.03 etc who are on mysql.

  4. Hartvig Says:

There has never been official support for other than MS SQL, so nothing is lost.

It's 3.1 that will have MySql support as a supplement.

  5. Søren Sprogø Says:

    Nicely done!

Except I couldn't stop laughing in the beginning because of the cheesy music and screaming seaguls.

Nice to hear about the first official certifications, any info when we'll start to see a section on the official site listing these? And perhabs a gallery of different Umbraco solution. Sorry for going off-topic, but I really miss those.

Can't wait to see ya all at Codegarden :-)

  6. Søren Linaa Says:

Great to finally see my wish come through with the feature to copy a documenttype. It has been a really big frustation and it will save me a lot of time in the future.

  7. Per Ploug Hansen Says:

@Søren Sprogø: Actually we have the Certified Developer listing done, The certified people just have to tick off a little "yes make my certification status public" in their umbraco member profile.

@Søren Linaa: Glad you like it, we are super excited about getting some of those long-standing bugs out of the way.

  8. Søren Linaa Says:

Per just for the record I never though it was a bug that you couldnt copy a documenttype. Just a nice feature to have :)

How do I get a member profile by the way. Do I have one allready?

  9. Casey Neehouse Says:

@Per - Since you volunteered, I reserve you to be our personal tour guide for Thursday!

There are at least 4 of us...

Also, I was originally going to talk about using Doc2Form, and the growing list of features, so, load me up for 2 courses.

  10. Chris Houston Says:

Great little video guys, keep them coming!

I have booked and am leaving on Saturday night, so you can add me to Casey tour group ;-)

  11. Morten Bock Sørensen Says:

I can hardly wait to finally take the official test. :-)

When can we expect to receive information on it?

  12. Darren Ferguson Says:

Any chance of having the podcast in a format that we can subscribe to and actually use it on our iPod's?

  13. Hartvig Says:

@Darren: Yes, if the experiment will turn into a "real" podcast we'll make a feed with enclosures (and add it to the iTunes library)
