Webdistortion.com has reviewed Umbraco among 12 other open source content mangement systems and had generally very nice things to say about us:

...It's a further bonus to discover that not only is umbraco open source, but its also an awesome, well built piece of software. As with most CMS systems being developed now, Umbraco is too committed to web-standards, and indeed has focused on providing at platform to achieve perfect CSS and XHTML zen...

Also, the installer (which we are improving even further in the next release) and the community got a very positive review:¨

We were up and running within about 10 minutes - the .NET installer script setting up the database etc, all we had to do was set some bits and pieces in IIS. If you are a .NET developer - go grab a copy, as the user community has also achieved notarity- winning awards - you know that you'll be backed up with exceptional support.

Finally Umbraco was one of the systems fastest and easiest to install, being up and running in 10 minutes, which is exceptional fast compared to the some of the other system with a setup time of 45+ minutes.

I saw nothing unfavorable at all.

In the latest podcast, Neils talked about several things that were going into the next release specifically for .Net developers. Is there anyway to elaborate further on those enhancements - or is that a CodeGarden announcement?

    Thanks,

    Hal

@Hal: It's going to be CodeGarden announcements. I know this might be a bit anti-openish, but there just gotta be room for a couple of surprises, no?
