    Nice one :-)

I think editors would prefer to be able to click and open locked pages. Just for viewing. (maybe it is just the save button, that should be disabled)

Awesome feature for the small number of people who need this! Are there any plans to put checkin/out on templates / xslt's?

Great feature! Though I wonder whether it would be an idea to have the option of an "auto-checkout" so that whenever anyone has a page open no other use can edit it until the first user has finished (determined by navigating away from the page)?

Great feature. I've been doing something similar while you guys were working on this.... It's still a good idea to be able to view the doc even if the item is locked as Christian outlined before

Some extra thought while I was implementing this feature:

    * Cancelling events such as Save/Save and Publish are not correctly implemented. Cancel check is performed after general properties have changed...too late

    * Because first option didn't work, I was looking into temporarily disable the menu icons by creating a 'show content' page inheriting from 'edit content' page but was only able to set visibility of menu icons to false, also hiding the preview button.

It seems as not showing the content for locked items is currently the safest option, or am I wrong?

    Cheers,
    Dirk
